Message from Emirates

Emirates is proud of its partnership with this prestigious event, especially after we made our first foray into the world of sports sponsorship 22 years ago with a powerboat race organised by the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC).

We were delighted to strengthen our ties with DIMC recently through our sponsorship of the Sea Dubai sailing team which, having just appeared in the Dubai RC44 Gold Cup here at Mina Seyahi, is looking forward to a quick return in the forthcoming Maktoum Sailing Trophy.

Emirates has a great affinity with sailing and recently renewed its sponsorship with Emirates Team New Zealand, the team that took on Alinghi in the 2007 America’s Cup, and most recently sailed to victory in the Audi MedCup.

As the sporting calendar of the UAE continues to grow, Emirates will continue to be at the forefront, helping the development of events across its vast range of sporting interests from sailing to cricket, football, golf, rugby, horse racing and tennis.

We are proud sponsors of numerous locally-based events, including the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens; the world’s richest horse race, the Dubai World Cup; and the Dubai Desert Classic and the Dubai Ladies’ Masters, which are just two of the 13 golf tournaments around the globe that we support.

Emirates has become synonymous with sports both in the UAE and throughout the world and – as an Official Partner of FIFA - we will be part of the greatest show on earth next summer in South Africa, as well as the FIFA Club World Cup which is currently on in Abu Dhabi, and the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup which was held here in Dubai last month.
